What use are devious restraints if you can't lock them? Here's a set of four padlocks I created while teaching myself Blender, plus a simple padlock key prop. The padlock bodies are all parented to the same root bone. Just hide the locks you don't want, and transform the bone to move/scale/rotate the lock. All the locks share the same shackle; this is also parented to the root bone. Move and rotate the shackle about its local Z-axis to open. The shackle has a shape key to make it taller or shorter.
